ACLS Instructor Course Requirements

  • You MUST be proficient in all the skills PALS Provider Course, including EKG
  • You MUST be proficient in the skills of BLS and PALS algorithms. 
  • Have current AHA provider status in the discipline of the Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of BLS/PALS.
  • Complete the American Heart Association PALS Instructor Essential 
  • Current 2020 AHA Instructor Manual and DVD
  • Complete the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course and paperwork.
  • Successfully be monitored teaching your first course and pass a site visitation.  The site visit will consist of verifying your equipment and training location. Both tasks MUST be completed within six months after completing the Instructor Course.
